What’s New for 2019

Parking sensors in the rear, cruise control, and a rearview camera are three standard features on every 2019 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider. Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Interior

Handcrafted in Italy

True to its heritage, each Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is hand-assembled in Modena, Italy. In order to meet the exacting standards set by Alfa Romeo, every expert technician who constructs the 4C must undergo a minimum of 500 hours of training. Exquisite Italian leather, natural wood accents, and hand-laid authentic carbon fiber elegantly combine strength and beauty inside the 4C Spider. Details such as aluminum pedals, angled instrumentation and controls, and a flat-bottom race-inspired steering wheel represent the driver-obsessed nature of the cockpit.

Alfa Romeo 4C Spider Engineering

Lightweight Strength

After collaborating with professional racing chassis design teams, Alfa Romeo created a unique Carbon Fiber Monocoque Chassis for the 4C Spider. Three times stronger than conventional steel, this hand-laid carbon fiber is also seven times lighter. In constructing the outer body, Sheet Molded Compound (SMC) is used to provide a 20% weight reduction and additional corrosion resistance. As a result, the 4C Spider tips the scales with a curb weight slightly below 2,500 pounds. Its mid-engined layout, rear-wheel drive configuration, and lightweight chassis help deliver inspired performance both on and off the track.
